He is regularly playing T20 and ODIs but he has not been considered for red-ball cricket so far.

Chahal has revealed his ambition to play Test cricket and claimed that the feeling of being called a test cricket is a different one and revealed he has fifty wickets in his last 10 domestic games in the whites.

“The feeling of being called a Test cricketer is completely different. In my last 10 first-class games I have fifty wickets. But the thing is that I haven’t played first-class cricket for the past 3-4 years,” Chahal said on Sports Yaari’s Youtube channel.

Talking about the possibility of playing for India in Test cricket, Chahal said India’s busy schedule has made it impossible to play Ranji Trophy.

He claimed that he cannot directly play international cricket with the red-ball before clearing his doubts on the domestic scene.

“So whenever the Ranji Season starts and if I get time to play for Haryana, I need to go back and clear my doubts as to whether I can bowl well,” Chahal added.

Chahal will next be seen in action during the Asia Cup where is expected to lead India’s spin bowling attack which also includes Axar Patel, Ravichandran Ashwin, and Ravi Bishnoi.
