Jos Buttler Blessed with a Baby Girl

England’s wicket-keeper batsman Jos Buttler was blessed with a baby girl, his second child on Sunday, September 5, 2021.

Buttler’s Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise shared the good news on Twitter and an Instagram post from Buttler’s wife Louise shared photos of the baby.

Buttler had taken time off from his England duties and missed the ongoing fourth Test match between England and India being played at the Oval for the birth of his child.

In fact, Buttler has also pulled out of the second half of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2021) which will be played in the UAE from September 19 onwards for the same reason.

Louise shared the good news on her Instagram account with the caption reading: “Introducing our little slice of heaven and the newest teeniest tiniest member of the LB family 💕 Margot “Maggie”.”

Meanwhile, Jos Buttler didn’t have a good outing in the ongoing Test series against India in which he played the first three Test matches.

Buttler struggled to get going with the bat scoring 72 runs in 5 innings with a best of 25 runs at an average of 14.40 and has made a duck as well.

Speaking of the ongoing Test series, the fourth Test is poised for an exciting finish. As India ended day three at the Oval on 270/3 and have a lead of 171 runs with seven wickets in hand and Virat Kohli unbeaten on 22 and Ravindra Jadeja unbeaten on 9.

India had to thank Rohit Sharma as the opener slammed his maiden overseas Test century, scoring 127 with 14 fours and 1 six.

KL Rahul made 46 with 6 fours and 1 six and added 83 runs for the first wicket, almost wiping off the deficit on their own.

Then Cheteshwar Pujara joined Rohit and slammed 153 runs for the second wicket as Pujara made 61 runs with 9 fours in 127 runs.
