Former Indian batsman Subramaniam Badrinath has tested positive for COVID-19 on Sunday. Subramaniam Badrinath, who retired from international cricket in 2018, was part of the India Legends squad.
S. Badrinath is the third player from the Indian Legends team to test positive for infection.
Sachin Tendulkar was India’s highest run-scorer in the tournament while Yusuf Pathan was awarded the Player of the Final award for his heroics in the summit clash.
Badrinath is isolating at his home and taking all the precautions. “I have been taking all the necessary precautions and getting tested regularly,” Badrinath announced on Twitter. ” However, I have been tested positive for COVID-19 and have some mild symptoms. I will be following all protocols and will be isolating myself at home and will take the needful action as per advice from my physician,” Badrinath wrote on Twitter.

The 40-year-old played three matches in the Road Safety Series and scored 57 runs. He was part of the playing XI in the final against Sri Lanka Legends. The Road Safety Series was played in Raipur. The crowd was allowed to witness the live action.
With three cricketers testing positive for COVID-19, the other members of the squad are likely to get themselves tested soon.
Both Sachin and Yusuf are isolating at their home, they had confirmed in their posts on Saturday. They will be allowed to come out of isolation once they complete the 14-day period and test negative for COVID-19.
Since the IPL 2021 will be played in India this year, Tendulkar was expected to join Mumbai Indians’ camp. But he will now have a delayed arrival in the camp. Sachin is MI’s icon.
